Easy Barbecue Shrimp...pass the french bread!

A day of Hurricanes (the drink) to ring in Fat Tuesday and delicious Barbecue Shrimp for dinner...

3 pounds of Louisiana Shrimp with heads

On stove-top, simmer sauce in the baking pan

Shrimp ready to go in the oven!

Stir shrimp in oven every 5 mins for 15 mins.

Finished product...:)

What you will need:

1/2  cup  fat-free Caesar dressing
1/3  cup  Worcestershire sauce
3 sticks of butter or stick margarine (I used I.C.B.I.B)
4 tablespoons of Italian Seasoning
1  tablespoon dried thyme
1 1/2  teaspoons black pepper
1  teaspoon Cajun seasoning
5  bay leaves
3  garlic cloves, minced
3  pounds of large Louisiana shrimp with heads (can use headless, if needed)
1/3  cup  dry white wine
2 lemon, one to squeeze over shrimp and one to slice
1 med. sweet onion, sliced in thin rings

What to do:

Combine the first 9 ingredients, lemon juice and wine in a large nonstick baking pan; bring to a simmer for 5 mins, turn heat off.  Add shrimp, sliced onion and lemon, bake for 15 mins at 325, stirring every 5 mins.

Serve with bread and lemon wedges...for a big "impress factor", spoon over a serving of grits!

Enjoy!

Gratefully,
Deborah...xo!
